RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Title = Chemical Process Engineer (refinery/petrochemical)

Position Description = Engineering firm needs Chemical Process Engineers with experience in refinery and/or petrochemical
design.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review the clients existing relief protection documentation and determine what additional calculations are required to
correct gaps, errors and other critical deficiencies.
- Review process safety information provided by the client, including PFD's, P&ID's, heat and materials balances, relief
device records, and relief piping isometrics, to obtain required data to complete calculations.
- Interface with client and/or visit plant site to resolve remaining issues and obtain any missing required data.
- Review applicable relief scenarios, complete relief protection calculations, including required relief loads, relief device
sizing, and inlet and outlet piping hydraulics.
- Prepare calculation results for checking and strive for continuous improvement to minimize errors found during
checking. Also possibly check the work of others if some delegated to less experienced engineers.
- Complete final report of results that clearly documents the results of the work and adequately addresses all of the
client’s needs and concerns.
Preferred Skills
Knowledgeable in relief protection studies, including relevant api recommended practices and other industry standards.
Proficient in use of process simulation (proii, hysys or chemcad) for developing heat and material balance information and
fluid properties for relief studies.
License/certification/security card needed
Have or able to obtain a transportation workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

Position Description = A leading chemical manufacturing company has an opening for an Operational Excellence Leader at
its McIntosh, Alabama facility. This role leads the strategic continuous improvement effort at the site. The successful
candidate will establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement. They must be able to influence the site in
generating and implementing ideas and eight step projects.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Managing the Operational Excellence Database
- Becoming the Content Expert for the QualPro Eight-Step Procedure and the Company Idea Process
- Achieving the required Benefit Capture Savings results for the site
- Tracking & scheduling OpEx training necessary for the site
- Meeting with Operations groups on a regular basis to promote OpEx
- Managing and holding people accountable for Implementation Step Completion at the site.
- Learn the site chemical and other processes to be able to prioritize and lead Process Improvement efforts
- Prepare for and lead OpEx reviews and attend OpEx Leaders' meetings
- Attend the QualPro Leadership Symposium (QLS) and promote it so that others attend as well
- Work toward having at least one presentation for QLS each year

- Recommends & administrates reward strategies that promote desired OpEx behaviors
- Solicits and encourages Idea Generation
- Develops and delivers New Employee orientation for OpEx
- Regularly reviews Ideas from other sites to identify opportunities
- Works with the site to calculate savings for Ideas and Eight Step Projects
- Prepares Schedule K for Budget documents
- Participates in giving and receiving OpEx Peer Reviews at least once per year
- Leads the OpEx Core Team for the site
- Manages the KPIs and OEE processes
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering discipline preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years Engineering work experience is required; manufacturing experience preferred; process or
chemical plant experience preferred.
- Work experience in productivity initiatives using statistical process control concepts, such as Six Sigma, Qual Pro, Lean
Manufacturing, etc. is required.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is required; experience with continuous
improvement packages and softwares is preferred.
- Demonstrated competencies for the role include drive for results, creativity, decision quality, directing others, learning

The Technical Services Representative is responsible for Company's quality specification and product stewardship processes,
including training and auditing customer representatives. This role facilitates resolution of technical and engineering issues
affecting customers and other product handlers and is the technical resource for the sales force, customer service
organization and logistics group.
- He or she will manage customer stewardship processes to comply with all applicable RC14001 requirements
- Conduct customer stewardship assessments and provide written correspondence summarizing performance and

- Establishing the design criteria, incorporating client requirements, estimate and/or scope basis and design basis
meeting applicable state, local and federal standards and codes. Ensuring that any requirements for permitting have
been established and communicated to the project team.
- Developing process engineering standards and specifications.
- Knowing your scope and deliverables. Initiating timely change notices when deviation is made from your scope,
affecting schedule, deliverables or cost of the work.
- Planning and organizing the work of your team. Communicating the plan to your team, the project leadership team
and the client.
- Maintaining control of the project by tracking and maintaining discipline performance budget progress, schedule
commitments, and quality standards. Understanding and utilizing the project tools that are in place for project control.
- Delegating work to engineers and designers in proportion to their technical skills and experience, then following up for
support to ensure efficient progress and quality.
- Consulting with design leaders from other disciplines in proportion to their technical skills and experience, then

- Producing estimate level preliminary designs and material take-off suitable for the level of estimate being performed

- Ability to create accurate chemical/process documents from the information found on vendor equipment drawings.
