Position Title: Maintenance Manager
Education and/or Experience Required: degree in mechanical, or applicable, engineering, or at least three (3) years of
related work experience
Position Description:
To support and provide guidance to plant maintenance personnel; and to ensure the continuous operation of the  facility and
equipment by planning, organizing, and coordinating routine and major maintenance activities.
Budgeting ability, evaluating and negotiating purchases, bidding and managing projects required.  Experience working with
vendors, contractors, and plant personnel necessary.  Must have excellent maintenance knowledge and be familiar with the
operational aspects of coke calcining operations and waste heat recovery.  Must be able to diagnose, problem solve, plan
and execute the maintenance of plant equipment.
Reports directly to the Plant Manager.  Communicates with production and maintenance personnel, other engineers and
technical personnel, management and outside business contacts.
Accountabilities and Measures
Safety – OSHA recordable injuries and illnesses
Environmental Control – Compliance with environmental permits
Maintenance Cost – Actual vs budget routine and major maintenance cost
Operating Factor – Actual vs budget operating factor
Preventative Maintenance – Percentage completion of PM work orders

Position Title = Operations Manager
Education Required = Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or related field
Position Description = A national manufacturer of industrial and building products such as bar grating, expanded metal, and
lath is seeking an Operations Manager, who will run the shop floor and will report to the Plant Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or related field and 8 - 10 years experience in a metal
manufacturing or fabrication plant.
- A solid working knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Be able to introduce current technology concepts to improves processes, reduce cycle times, increase factory throughput,
reduce overhead costs and optimize inventory levels along with implementing preventive systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Plant Manager in the following:
- Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations
and cost factors.
- Plans and directs production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum
production and utilization of manpower, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of non-
conformity with product specifications, or operating, or production problems.
- Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve
product quality.
- Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and
quality of products.
Supervisory Responsibilities                                           
- Manages shop employees and supervisors.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the
plant departments.  
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities
include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing.
- Work closely with sister plants and operations managers around the US.
- Be recognized as a strong leader, respected and serve as a mentor to develop people and other managers.
- Must be a team player willing to share knowledge and problems with their peers, subordinates and superiors.
- The person must be able to work closely with the Production, Supply Chain, Sales and Finance functions and will have some
- P & L responsibility for the operation.
- Be sensitive to the geographic area’s culture and rich history and be understanding of the values and beliefs vital to this
growing region.
- Participate as an active member of the Plant Manager’s staff.
